Stéphanie Hurt Associate Professor of International Communication |
| Stéphanie Hurt is Associate Professor of International Communication at EDHEC Business School, Lille, France and serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Catholic University of Lille.
In her teaching activities, she focuses on International Business and Management, Intercultural Management, International Organizational Behavior and Business Communication Skills. She is currently concentrating her research activities on the internationalization strategies of food retailing groups worldwide, with a particular focus on their implantation in Central Europe Her special interest is in the transfer of management methods, knowledge and learning in the internationalization processes which places her research at the intersection of Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management. WACRA hold a particular interest for Professor Hurt because she has long been involved in creative teaching activities and research. She has produced a number of cases for use in business education with a particular emphasis on experiential exercises and simulations dealing with organization behaviour and human resource management issues. In her case creation, she aims at putting participants at the center of the learning process. She has also co-authored cases in finance and strategy. Professor Hurt is a Member of the WACRA Standards Setting Committee and has contributed papers at several WACRA and ACT Conferences. In the past, she has managed Tempus European Joint Projects for Technology Transfers to Central Europe including bidding and financial management, general coordination, and management of student exchange responsibilities. She has been awarded Akademia Ekonomiczna Krakow Medal of Distinguished Service, the University of Lublin, Marie-Curie Sklodowska Medal of Distinguished Service and the City of Lublin, Poland Medal of Distinguished Service. She speaks Polish, Russian, English, Spanish and French. With Marcus Hurt she has published Le CV International with Editions d'Organisation, Paris, 2000 on International Job Search techniques. |
