Paula Jordan is an Assistant Professor in the College of Management & Business at National-Louis University. She has been at NLU since 1998 and is a faculty member at the NLU Tampa Campus. At NLU Dr. Jordan has made significant contributions to the development of several courses in the MBA curriculum. She has been a member of WACRA since 1998 and has previously served as the Chair of the paper review committee.

She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame. Her doctoral dissertation entitled, "The Effects of Competition on Efficiency of Electricity Generation: A Post-PURPA Analysis," measured the relative level of efficiency in the generation of electricity in 1978 and 1993. She also holds a M.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in Business Administration from Ferris State University.

Prior to joining National-Louis University, Dr. Jordan was employed in the gas and electric utility industries for 8 years. She held a variety of analytical positions with Florida Power Corporation and Southern Natural Gas. Dr. Jordan was a Derivatives Trader and a Risk Strategy Analyst where she analyzed data, structured deals, and traded Natural Gas, Oil, Coal, and Electricity contracts. She has designed and operated a variety of statistical models to forecast and simulate "what if" scenarios. In addition to her professional work experience, Dr. Jordan has taught as an adjunct faculty member for Eckerd College in their Program for Experienced Learners from 1991 to 1996.
