Academic Director of ICUS Pte Ltd

Elizabeth Hawthorne is the Academic Director of ICUS Pte Ltd in Singapore. ICUS is a startup eLearning firm catering to multinational corporations. As Academic Director she is responsible for the quality of the courses and programs ICUS develops. She is also affiliated with the National Technology University/National Institute of Education Instructional Design Program. Most recently, Dr. Hawthorne was Associate Professor of Higher Education and Academic Program Director, World Campus at Penn State University in the US. At the World Campus, she was responsible for program development of technology-enriched courses for distance delivery and working with faculty and academic units.

Dr. Hawthorne's work has been on distance education, teaching and writing case studies, and using technology to improve student learning. She has strong international interests. She has been an invited speaker at College Board seminars, Syllabus conference, CIC/Academic Leadership Forum, and Math2K Colloquium at Ohio State University.
