Copenhagen International Airport (CPH) is the closest large airport, from which Lund can then be reached by high-speed trains. Tickets cost 90 SEK and a change of trains in Malmö is necessary. If you want to save money, book your airline ticket all the way to Malmö, Sweden for the same price (or almost) as to Copenhagen. Thank you for the tip Maria! There is bus service every hour from Copenhagen airport to the hydrofoil (Flygbåtarna Terminal) in downtown Copenhagen. Travel time is about 20 minutes. Hydrofoils are very popular, therefore passengers would be advised to book tickets in advance (tel: +46 40 120484 or fax: +46 40 120484). Crossing time is approximately 45 minutes and costs 120 SEK which includes both the bus and hydrofoil.
Taxis in Sweden can be pre-ordered or found at Taxi stops often found just outside stations and harbors. Hailing them from the street works, but is not customary. Because the Swedish taxi-market has been made free, drivers set their own fees which, regrettably, can mean overpricing. Settle a price with the driver before accepting services. A trip from Malmö to Lund, is normally priced at 200-250 Kroner. Taxis normally accept all major credit cards.
From Malmö to Lund local trains depart approximately 4 times per hour during weekdays, somewhat less frequently in the evening and weekends. Tickets, costing about 30 SEK, are available from the ticket machines located on the train platform only. An hourly express train is available from Stockholm, and takes about 4 hours to get to Malmö. The Swedish State-owned Railway can be reached at tel: +46 (0)8 762 20 00. For travelers leaving Copenhagen for Lund, The Danish State-owned Railway can be reached at tel:+45 (0)70 13 14 15. The bridge between Copenhagen and Malmö is now open to motorists. Lund can be reached from roads E6 and E22. There are also car and passenger ferry connections to southern Sweden from Germany (Scandlines and TT-Line), and from Poland.
