Professional conference and seminar attendance and participation are common activities among educators; however, not all professional sessions are multidimensional and multi-valuable to the long-time or neophyte educator. Without a doubt, WACRA and ACT conferences are. Besides the usual knowledge-based presentations and workshops, a special benefit of the WACRA and ACT conferences is definitely collegial networking. While international personal friendships blossom, so do professional collaborative publications. At an ACT Conference in Lucerne several years ago, Dr. Patricia Ann Brock and Dr. Beate Baltes discovered they shared a similar research interest: educational technology for teachers. This month they published a new interactive 280-page textbook entitled: Multimedia: Bridging Standards and Constructivism in the Classroom with Houghton Mifflin, Boston, MA [ISBN: 06-618-22583-8].
